Hear Ministry's New Acoustic "(Every Day Is) Halloween" With Dave Navarro

Exclusive 7-inch to come paired with deluxe edition of 'Ministry: Prescripture' book

Late last year, Ministry played L.A. venue The Fonda and were joined by surprise guest Dave Navarro for a cool, stripped-down rendition of the band's 1984 classic "(Everyday Is) Halloween," marking Al Jourgensen and Co.'s first performance of the song in 30 years. Jourgensen and Navarro have since reunited to lay down a studio version of their collaborative reimagining of the Eighties single. It'll be available as a special 7-inch packaged with the deluxe edition of the forthcoming book Ministry: Prescripture, but since today is even more Halloween than other days, the band has teamed with Revolver to give you the first listen right here right now. The new studio recording comes accompanied with a behind-the-scenes video shot (and edited) by Thaddeus Bridwell at Jourgensen's studio with Navarro and Dan Cleary as well as other personnel. Listen and watch above.

Written and designed by Aaron Tanner, Ministry: Prescripture is a fully authorized visual history of Jourgensen's pioneering industrial-rock band, featuring over 200 pages of rare and unseen photos, artwork and other ephemera spanning the group's entire career (see some sample spreads below). The limited-edition book also includes an introduction by Jello Biafra and exclusive quotes from members of Nine Inch Nails, Tool, N.W.A, Ramones, Megadeth, AFI, Slayer, Rammstein, Devo, Butthole Surfers, Anthrax, White Zombie, Death Grips, Bauhaus, Killing Joke, High on Fire, GWAR, Einstürzende Neubauten and more. You can pre-order the book here ahead of its December 6th release date.

A week later, on Friday, December 13th, Jourgensen is set to join Tanner for an exclusive book-signing event at Asrai Gardens West Loop (inside the Ace Hotel) in Chicago beginning at 6 p.m. After the signing, there will be an after party at a secret nearby location with DJ Scary Lady Sarah spinning industrial, gothic and new wave tracks from 8 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are free, but attendees must register here.
