Hear Minus the Bear Bid Farewell With Great New Song "Viaduct"

Following the dissolution of Botch, the band members scattered to form several different forward-thinking groups including These Arms Are Snakes, Russian Circles and the unique indie-meets–post-hardcore outfit Minus the Bear. The latter was mind-blowing at first listen, featuring virtuosic guitar playing that felt effortless, intricate and totally vital to each song — a tough feat in a world where flagrant ability with your instrument can come off as wanky. Minus the Bear triumphed, growing and growing their audience without ever losing complexity or their knack for a good hook.

Fast forward several LPs and decades, Minus the Bear is sailing off into the distance, but not without one final hurrah on both the recording and the touring fronts. The group's latest single is "Viaduct," a warm and catchy track propelled by jaw-dropping, shimmering guitar lines and those familiar, beautiful clean vocal from Jake Snider. It's on par with any of their classic singles, and bodes well for Minus the Bear's forthcoming EP Fair Enough. You can pre-order your copy via Suicide Squeeze ahead of it's October 19th release, and see the band's farewell tour dates below.
