Music is about context, but sometimes removing a track from its context yields incredibly surprising results. In this case we have Orange Hell, a shrouded crew of "guys you probably know" who have put together an EP of Misfits covers that takes the songs in a new direction. Gone are all of the distortion-heavy guitars played exclusively with punk downstrokes. Instead, Orange Hell zoom in on the tracks' already highly melodic cores and spin them into eerily compelling dream-pop songs.

The three-track EP features incredibly beautiful and fantastic renditions of Misfits staples "Hybrid Moments," "Skulls" and "Some Kinda Hate," all ready-made to sit beside the latest Hope Sandoval. Orange Hell's intelligent, well-planned reworkings definitely stand on their own, while proving yet again just how strong and timeless these original tracks are. Stream the new EP in full below and order yours via Funeral Party
