In 2018, Iowan hardcore veterans Modern Life Is War kicked off their ongoing Tribulation Worksongs singles series, dropping both Volume 1 and 2 that year. They'll be wrapping up 2021 with a third installment — due out December 17th. Tribulation Worksongs: Volume 3 features two tracks, a ripping new song, "Survival," and an incendiary cover of the Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog." Today (November 30th), Revolver is proud to premiere the former, a propulsive, timely rager on which vocalist Jeffrey Eaton snarls defiantly, "In times like these/Where survival is the game/Let's play on." Blast it above via it's frenetic, collage-style music video.
Aiming to be as hand-built as possible, Eaton typed the lyrics and credits of each song on his antique typewriter. These were later hand-stamped on the front and back covers to the Tribulation Worksongs: Volume 3 vinyl pressing by artist (and Converge frontman) Jacob Bannon, making each cover totally unique.
