Hear Myrkur and Nergal Duet on Me and That Man's New Song "Angel of Light"

"This is perhaps the most sinister and dark Americana in our repertoire"

Last month, Me and That Man — the outlaw country/blues project of Behemoth bandleader Adam Nergal Darski — announced their next batch of retro-rock songs, New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 2

Like last year's Vol. 1, the record is loaded with high-profile guests including Gary Holt (Exodus, ex-Slayer), Lamb of God's Randy Blythe, Arch Enemy's Alissa White-Glutz and others. One of those others is Danish folk-metal progenitor Myrkur, and today Me and That Man have released the song featuring her, "Angel of Light."

Unlike some of MATM's swingin' tracks, this one has an old-timey gospel feel to it — a slow, nodding blues song that prominently features Myrkur's glowing vocals. In the chorus, her and Nergal duet with each other over holy guitar strums, achieving a truly powerful, even beautiful harmonic synergy.

The video features the two of them performing in the woods and out by the rocks after Myrkur engages in some sort of ritual with a couple other mysterious women dressed in black. Watch and listen above via YouTube.

"This song is perhaps the most sinister and dark Americana [track] in our repertoire," Nergal commented. "Whilst we often offer a little smile and wink with our music, this is pure Luciferian splendor delivered by our very own angel, Amalie from Myrkur. It's all yours now folks! Enjoy!"

New Man, New Songs, Same Shit Vol. 2 is out November 19th via Napalm Records and is now available for pre-order.
