Hear Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross' Seething Instrumental for 'Watchmen' End Credits

HBO original series is a "remix" of Alan Moore's groundbreaking graphic novel

HBO's new Watchmen TV series just premiered on Sunday, October 20th, to a reported 1.5 million viewers across television and streaming services. It's "a modern-day reimagining of Alan Moore's groundbreaking graphic novel about masked vigilantes" that creator Damon Lindelof (co-creator of Lost, writer of Prometheus) has described as a "remix" of the seminal source material. Fittingly then, Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross — themselves masters of the remix (and the original mix, for that matter) — handled the score, and today they released their music for the series' end credits. Seething and propulsive, driven by a dance-floor-ready beat and some very characteristically NIN samples and sounds, the instrumental recalls some of the group's finest vocal-free work. Hear it above.
