Hear Nita Strauss' Shredding New Solo Song "Summer Storm"

Guitar hero brings instrumental thunder on latest single

Nita Strauss is on a roll. Last year the heralded guitar shredder become the first ever solo female to have a No. 1 hit at Active Rock Radio thanks to her single "Dead Inside" featuring Disturbed's David Draiman. In 2022, she made headlines when she made the move from Alice Cooper's live lineup — where she'd played for eight years — to pop star Demi Lovato's backing band. Meanwhile, Strauss has been hard at work on her next solo album, and today (August 30th) she's offered up a taste, in the form of the explosive instrumental shredder "Summer Storm." Blast it above via it's high-octane live music video.

"Instrumental music is where my heart is," Strauss commented, "and 'Summer Storm' might be the song I feel captures my personal style the most: cathartic, driving and emotional. While a lot of the upcoming record will have guest vocalists, I'm also so proud of the instrumental tracks and excited to officially unleash this one on the world!"

Strauss recently guested on Revolver's "Fan First podcast, discussing her guitar heroes, the songs that changed her life, the lessons she's learned from Cooper, and why she signed on with Lovato. Watch below.
