Rhode Island noise-rockers Daughters are back. Nearly a decade after dropping their eponymous debut, the band have released "Satan in the Wait," a theatrical new song that marks the quartet's first output in eight years. It finds the band pulling a Faith No More, refurbishing their hardcore tool shed with playful, interwoven melodies, full-bodied production and powerful vocals, courtesy of frontman Alexis Marshal. The propulsive track is set to appear on an as-of-yet unannounced release expected out later this year via Daughters' new, Mike Patton–run label home, Ipecac.
"As longtime fans of many of the albums Ipecac has released, we are proud to be a part of their roster," guitar player Nick Sadler says of the signing, going on to vow, "We are looking forward to getting back on road and playing new songs."
In related news, Daughters have confirmed several North American tour dates taking place this November. The trek kicks off November 4th at Brooklyn metal haven Saint Vitus, and wraps up November 17th at the Beat Kitchen in Chicago. Check out a full itinerary below.
