Hear Onyx's Hard-Hitting New Song "Shoot Wit"

"Slam" icons drop lead single off upcoming 'ONYX Versus Everybody' LP

Best known for their smash single "Slam" and, to metalheads, for their pummeling collab with Biohazard on the Judgment Night soundtrack, Onyx have long been one of the hardest-hitting acts in hip-hop. Their influence resonates in modern-day acolytes like Ho99o9, who shout them out proudly, and now the group — currently comprised of Fedro Starr and Sticky Fingaz — have returned with a new banger, "Shoot Wit." The lead single off their upcoming ninth studio album, ONYX Versus Everybody, due out May 13th, the song packs their signature punch. Blast it above.

A return to the boom-bap sound, the 10-song ONYX Versus Everybody includes features by rappers Termanology, Harrd Luck, Ricky Bats and Big Twin, and was produced by Onyx's own Fredo Starr.

In addition to the imminent new album, Onyx are also set to take on Cypress Hill for the FIGHT NIGHT MUSIC face-off VERZUZ Battle on Saturday, May 14th, at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET. Fans can purchase tickets (click here) as well as check them out on Triller or at Verzuztv.com.
