Hear Ozzy Call Back to "Sweet Leaf" on New Solo Song "Straight to Hell"

Prince of Darkness gets Sabbathian with second single off 'Ordinary Man' LP

Earlier this month, Ozzy Osbourne dropped his first single in nearly a decade, the grim and gorgeous power ballad "Under the Graveyard." Now, he's followed it up with a more hard-rocking cut titled "Straight to Hell," which nods to Black Sabbath's "Sweet Leaf" with its repeated cry of "All right now," while also including such colorful lyrics as "I'll make you scream/I'll make you defecate." The song also notably features Guns N' Roses' Slash wailing on guitar. Stream it above. Both tracks will appear on the Prince of Fucking Darkness' forthcoming 12th solo LP, Ordinary Man, which was made in just four weeks with Post Malone producer Andrew Watt, as well as GN'R's Duff McKagan on bass and Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith on drums. The album is due in early 2020.

"It all started when [Ozzy's daughter] Kelly comes in and says, 'Do you want to work on a Post Malone song?'" Osbourne explained of the new LP. "My first thing was 'Who the fuck is Post Malone?!' I went to Andrew's house and he said, 'We will work really quick.' After we finished that song [the hit single "Take What You Want," also featuring Travis Scott], he said, 'Would you be interested in starting an album.' I said, 'That would be fucking great,' but now I am thinking I don't want to be working in a basement studio for six months! And in just a short time, we had the album done. Duff and Chad came in and we would go in and jam during the day and I would go work out the songs in the evenings. I previously had said to Sharon [Ozzy's wife and manager] I should be doing an album, but in the back of my mind I was going, 'I haven't got the fucking strength …,' but Andrew pulled it out of me. I really hope people listen to it and enjoy it, because I put my heart and soul into this album."

After multiple cancellations due to seemingly nonstop health issues, Ozzy is set to resume his "No More Tours 2" farewell world tour in May, joined by Marilyn Manson on the North American leg.
