Rex Brown, Richie Faulkner and Scott Travis showcase their new power-metal supergroup

Elegant Weapons have fired their first shot. Last fall, Pantera bassist Rex Brown; Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner and drummer Scott Travis; and Spanish singer Ronnie Romero, who's done time in Rainbow, Michael Schenker Group and numerous other bands, announced that they were forming a new supergroup influenced by "a mix of Jimi Hendrix, Priest, Sabbath, solo Ozzy and Black Label Society."

Their debut album, Horns for a Halo, is out May 26th via Nuclear Blast, and today (Februrary 24th) the band have unleashed their first single onto the world, "Blind Leading the Blind."

As Faulkner teased in the aforementioned description of their sound, the new song is much more Priest than Pantera, with traditional NWOBHM vocal belts, galloping rhythms and shreddy, bluesy guitars. Listen above via YouTube.
