Pig Destroyer have been on a tear since releasing their first new album in six years, 2018's excellent, noise-rock-inflected Head Cage. In February, the grindcore stalwarts dropped a blistering cut, "The Calvary," in tribute to late, great guitarist Jesse Pintado, he of Napalm Death and Terrorizer fame, as part of Decibel's Flexi Disc series, and now, today (March 20th), they've offered up another terrifying new composition, "Cameraman," the 31st installment in Adult Swim Singles' current program. Fans will not be disappointed: Guitarist Scott Hull tears off grooving speed-metal riff after riff while lead shrieker J.R. Hayes threatens to pop the veins in his head and neck, screaming out vitriolic lines. For those who wished Head Cage was more traditionally "grindcore," the song builds to a series of satisfyingly high-velocity blast before its close. No word yet whether the band will break out the tune live, but Pig Destroyer, who rarely tour, do have some shows lined up — see those dates, and crank the new song, below.
