Hear Polyphia Shred on Insane New Instrumental "Playing God"

Virtuosic quartet introduce nylon string guitars to the mix

Between their head-spinning music, outlandish music videos and wild fashion choices, Polyphia are no strangers to pushing the bar. But the Texas instrumental quartet's latest single, "Playing God," is out there, even by their own lofty standards. The knotty, hypnotic composition incorporates nuevo flamenco guitars, bossa nova flair and trap-influenced rhythms, and sees the band's Tim Henson and Scott LePage using nylon string guitars for the first time. The track was produced by Henson and LePage, alongside JUDGE (Migos & Marshmello, blackbear, Young Thug), with additional production by longtime Polyphia collaborator Y2K (Doja Cat, Remi Wolf, Tove Lo), and Johan Lenox (Kanye, FINNEAS). Stream "Playing God" above via its music video.

In addition to dropping the new song and video, Polyphia have also announced their first headlining North American tour this summer. The run, which is set to launch July 28th in Houston, Texas, will feature support from German progressive metal act Unprocessed and hardcore duo Death Tour. Tickets will do on sale Friday, May 13th.
