Polyphia are about to make fans very happy. The Texas instrumental prog group helmed by guitarist Tim Henson have announced their fourth album and first in four years, Remember That You Will Die, due out later this fall. The record features guest appearances from Deftones' Chino Moreno, Steve Vai, rapper $not and many more, and today's single, "ABC," is a bright and colorful ditty that spotlights vocals from R&B-inflected pop singer Sophia Black.
It's a far cry from the post-hardcore-ish prog sound that Polyphia were cranking out earlier in their career, with vocals from Black that sound more akin to an alt-pop group like Kero Kero Bonito than anything Polyphia have done in the past.That said, Henson's shredding is still front and center and the lead riff is smoldering as hell. Remember That You Will Die will be released October 28th via Rise Records and it's now available for pre-order in a variety of formats. One of those is a Revolver-exclusive "silver" vinyl variant that's limited to just 500 copies worldwide. Pre-order yours from our shop before they're gone!
