Ahead of her big tour with Smashing Pumpkins and Jane's Addiction, Poppy has unleashed a ripping new single, "FYB," the lead single off her upcoming EP, Stagger. The title stands for "Fuck Your Back," and the song is a revenge anthem about "somebody getting what they deserve, without you yourself having to lift a finger," she told Dork magazine in August when she debuted "FYB" live at Reading Festival.
Musically, it's a distorted blast of sugary hooks and sublime heaviness that recalls the Dillinger-esque spazzcore of 2021's Eat (NXT Soundtrack) EP. Blast it above via the song's surreal music video.
Poppy's Stagger EP is due out October 14th and will mark her debut for her new label, LAVA Records/Republic Records. Coinciding with the release, Poppy will play Madison Square Garden on October 19th and L.A.'s Hollywood Bowl on November 19th, both while touring with Smashing Pumpkins and Jane's Addiction.
