Creating post-hardcore that fluidly infuses the genre's aggressive bent with a delicate touch of melancholy is no easy task, but Toronto's Conversation accomplish exactly that on their debut pair of EPs Romance/Reflection, available now to stream in full below ahead of its full release tomorrow, September 6th.

Over six songs of varying bombast and texture, the five-piece band find their footing early on for this seamless work of passionate aural symmetry. The attack and release of each cut is unabashed in its ferocity, exemplifying the group's stated commitment to "honesty through music." While each note seems thoughtfully crafted, the end product is never forced or awkward; Conversation hold true to their own creative vision while cycling through a wide range of sonic experimentation.

"It's hard to express how excited we are to be putting this music out into the world," the band says in a joint statement about the coming release. "We've all worked tirelessly to bring this record together and we're incredibly proud of every part of it. From writing and re-writing the songs to creating the concept and now seeing it as a reality; this has been an amazing experience so far. And this is just the beginning."
