Hear Prophets of Rage Call Out Fascism on Intense New Song "Made With Hate"

Fiery cut is Rage Against the Machine, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill supergroup's first new music of 2019

Hot off making the press rounds with his phone-throwing incident and resulting criticism of selfie-obsessed culture, Tom Morello and his supergroup Prophets of Rage — featuring members of Rage Against the Machine, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill — have released an incendiary new single that further tackles (among things) the vapid nature of modern clickbait culture and the global rise of fascism.

"Made With Hate" kicks off with a signature Morello guitar part, slowed down to match the flows of rappers B-Real and Chuck D. The relaxed pacing makes for a perfect groove and hip-hop oriented sound, in contrast with the very serious subject matter tackled in the lyrics.

"This is not a drill, this is fascism, it is here, poised as a government takeover threat," Chuck D spits near the track's end. "Your region of the world, it is not alarmist to say these things. It is simple truth." Leaving no room for interpretation, he and Prophets continue to stand firm in their politics and stance on injustice in the modern realm.

"To have PEACE you have to despise Hatred with a passion for Peace and attack it," Chuck D posted on Prophets of Rage's Twitter account along with a link to the track. "You can't have hate take over anything especially history, so you have to fuel yourself to attack in thought word and deed with equal passion."

"Made With Hate" is the first Prophets of Rage track first since July 2018 single "Heart Afire," which was their first new music since their 2017 self-titled debut. Next up for the band is a summer European tour. Find a full list of dates here
