Much like a Godflesh or DEVO track, there is an icy edginess to the new single "These Are My Wires" by Psychic Graveyard. The cut is propelled by a noisy, almost-industrial loop, and features vocals that feel mechanized and coldly clinical. It makes sense that the nutjobs behind such a work of deranged genius would come from bands including Arab on Radar, Doomsday Student and Some Girls. Check the song out for the first time below; it's culled from the forthcoming Loud as Laughter LP, due on Skin Graft on April 27th and available for pre-order now.

"'These Are My Wires' by Psychic Graveyard is an anthem for those who suffer from anxiety," explains vocalist Eric Paul, who repeats the line "I have a plan/I'll take my benzodiazepine" throughout the track. He goes on to explain that the song, one of the first written by the band, is "a collage of machine-like noises held together with a heavily effected kick and snare patter. It summons the ghosts of bands like Chrome, the Normal, Cabaret Voltaire, but introduces a more panic-attack approach." Indeed.
