Hear Serj Tankian’s Previously Unreleased Song “Industrialized Overload”

System of a Down vocalist dug into his "early" archives to unearth this eccentric track

Serj Tankian has unearthed a never-before-heard song from his archives as a year-end treat for his newsletter subscribers: a bizarre, minimalist tune titled "Industrialized Overload," dating back to the System of a Down frontman's "early works." Fans can snag it as a free download via Tankian's website through December 31st by signing up for his newsletter; for those who'd prefer to listen beforehand, a fan has kindly uploaded the track to YouTube.

Tankian's kept himself busy in the twelve years that've passed since System of a Down's last full-length, 2005's Hypnotize. Besides dropping six solo albums and a record from his jazz-fusion band Jazz-Iz-Christ, the vocalist has composed scores for numerous films, TV shows, musicals, and video games, most recently for the Russian action film Furious – The Legend of Kolvorat, released earlier this month.
