Hear Show Me the Body's Ripping New Song "We Came to Play"

Hardcore experimentalists announce long-awaited new album 'Trouble the Water'

You never know what you're gonna get with Show Me the Body. The banjo-weilding New York City troupe have spent the last half-decade dancing in the intersection of hardcore, noise-rap, post-punk and whatever-the-fuck, with their recent single "Loose Talk" showcasing their catchiest, most subdued side yet. But that doesn't mean the band are going soft on us.

Today (September 14th), Show Me the Body have dropped a bouncy and sonically scathing new track called "We Came to Play," which comes paired with the announcement of their long-awaited third album, Trouble the Water. This might be at the band's most straightforwardly punky and NYHC-influenced cut to date, but it's still got all of the skronky weirdness that makes Show Me the Body such a singular force.

Check out the song and video above via YouTube and see the tracklist and cover art for Trouble the Water below. The album is due out October 28th via Loma Vista Recordings and is available for pre-order now.
