Hear Sleep's Crushing First New Album in 20 Years 'The Sciences'

Stoner-metal titans drop full-length follow-up to 1998's 'Dopesmoker' right on time for 4/20

Just in time for 4/20, stoner-metal titans Sleep — featuring High on Fire's Matt Pike, OM's Al Cisneros and Neurosis' Jason Roeder — have returned with their first album in two decades, The Sciences. The follow-up to 1998's essential Dopesmoker is available now via Jack White's Third Man Recordings label. Among the highlights on the six-track LP are "Giza Butler" (a trippy behemoth titled in punny homage to Black Sabbath's bassist Geezer Butler), the sprawling "Marijuanaut's Theme" and a supernova-sized crusher appropriately called "Sonic Titan." Listen now.

Sleep are set to take The Sciences on the road next month for a short European trek, followed by a string of North American dates running through late August. Check out a full itinerary below.
