Philadelphia punk mavericks announce blistering forthcoming LP 'Diaspora Problems'

Revolver has teamed with Soul Glo for an exclusive vinyl variant of Diaspora Problems on "electric blue with red splatter" — limited to 300 copies worldwide. Order yours from our shop while they last!

For the last several years, Soul Glo have been making some of the most uniquely intense and thematically vital hardcore in punk writ large, tackling themes like police brutality, racism in the music scene, and mental illness with a raw, impassioned form of confrontation. After a prolific run of full-lengths and EP's, the Philadelphia band are now back to announce that their next LP, Diaspora Problems, will arrive in March, and today (January 11th) they're previewing it with a riotous lead single called "Jump!! (Or Get Jumped!!!)((by the future))." LIsten above while you watch its equally entertaining music video.

"Many artists feel as though time is a consistent adversary when it comes to the production of their work, but there is a population of people within this group who fear even more the probability of their time permanently coming to a close before they can enjoy the fruit of their labor," the band said of the song's lyrics, which examine the existential quandary of making art in a time where the future is bleaker and blurrier than ever. "Many Black artists who reach superstar status do so posthumously or have a limited amount of time to establish their legacy."

Diaspora Problems is out March 25th with CD/digital being handled by Epitaph Records and vinyl coming through Secret Voice, the label owned by Touché Amoré frontman Jeremy Bolm. Revolver has an exclusive vinyl variant on "electric blue with red splatter" that's limited to 300 copies worldwide. Order yours from our shop and peep the track list below.
