Hear Starcrawler Pray for "The End" on Glammy New Song "Hollywood Ending"

Scuzz-rock upstarts inspired by Ozzy, Iggy Pop, praised by Shirley Manson

It's been an insane breakthrough year for scuzzy glam rockers Starcrawler that's seen them open for the Foo Fighters, the Distillers and MC50 (the supergroup led by MC5's Wayne Kramer), as well as win praise from big-name fans such as Garbage's Shirley Manson, who hailed them for "challenging the norms in which women are seen in music." The band, fronted by maniacal and bloodthirsty teenage singer Arrow de Wilde, are capping 2018 off with a new single, "Hollywood Ending," which you can stream above.

"'Hollywood Ending' is my version of a prayer," de Wilde says. "In the song I pray for 'The End.' The end of being lied to, toyed with, the end of false friendships and relationships. I'm begging for a clean start. Let me walk into the light."

The single is available via all the expected digital music services, as well as on 7-inch with the B-side "Tank Top." For more on Starcrawler, read our recent in-depth profile on de Wilde and the band, and watch the insane, horror-movie–inspired video for their standout song "Chicken Woman" below.
