Stone Temple Pilots have revealed a sweltering new track, "Roll Me Under." It's the second single off the grunge titans' upcoming self-titled album, their first with new singer Jeff Gutt (formerly of the alt-metal band Dry Cell). Like the previously shared "Meadow," the new ripper holds tight to STP's gnarled, blues-rock bombast — particularly on the hulking chorus, which plays out as the aural equivalent of an Olympic hammer throw.
Speaking with Rolling Stone, bassist Robert DeLeo revealed "Roll Me Under" as one of the first songs written for the new Stone Temple Pilots LP, which is slated to hit shelves on March 16th. "Those riffs have been kicking around in my head for years," he said, "and it felt like the right time to record and perform it."
Stone Temple Pilots are set to hit the road for a massive North American tour in early March. Find a full list of dates below.
