Split Cranium, the trans-Atlantic collective featuring members of Sumac, Circle, Converge and others, have announced their second batch of d-beat hardcore goodness, I'm the Devil and I'm OK. Out later this spring, the album finds the group — bandmasters Aaron Turner (Sumac, Old Man Gloom) and Jussi Lehtisalo (Circle), bassist Nate Newton (Converge, Doomriders, Old Man Gloom), drummer Tomi Leppänen (Circle) and keyboardist Faith Coloccia (Mamiffer) — augmenting its blitzkrieg assault with ambient flourishes, spoken word and blasts of noise.

Ahead of I'm the Devil and I'm OK's May 25th release via Ipecac, Split Cranium have teamed with Revolver to unleash "Evil Hands," the record's savage first single. Overrun with blazing guitars and festooned with teeth-gnashing percussion, the track plays out as a modern reinterpretation of Discharge's anarcho-punk — a little more sophisticated, but no less tinnitus-inducing. You can pre-order I'm the Devil and I'm OK here; scroll down for the full album track listing.
