Hear Sumerlands' Triumphant New Trad-Metal Anthem "Dreamkiller"

Arthur Rizk-helmed band hails Bach, Judas Priest and Elton John

Revolver has teamed with Sumerlands for an exclusive "gold" vinyl colorway of their new album, Dreamkiller. It's limited to 200 — order yours now!

Arthur Rizk is best known as a coveted heavy-music producer with Power Trip, Code Orange, Ghostmane, Soulfly, Show Me the Body, Sacred Reich and many other heavyweights on his resume. But he's also a killer guitarist hailing the trad-metal gods in his band Sumerlands. The group just announced their forthcoming sophomore album, Dreamkiller, for a September 16th release through Relapse Records, and today (July 18th), they've unleashed its invisible-oranges-worthy title track and lead single. Blast it above via the song's murky, VHS-style music video.

"The 'Dreamkiller' instrumental section was inspired by Elton John's 'Funeral for a Friend,' which has the most evil-sounding, Bach-like guitar harmonies," Rizk commented of the song. "I was drawing from the epicness of that song, as well as Judas Priest's 'Stained Class' and Billy Joel's 'Movin' Out,' which to me all typify that big Seventies sound."

Dreamkiller is available for pre-order now in an array of collectible formats, including a Revolver-exclusive "gold" vinyl variant, limited to 200 worldwide. Order yours before they're gone!
