Swedish psych-doom trio Monolord are set to release their third album, Rust, on September 29th via RidingEasy. Today, the band has teamed up with Revolver to unveil a new song, "Dear Lucifer." The simmering, sludgy single takes the form of a riff-packed valentine addressed to a sinister pair of recipients: the devil (duh), and heavy metal itself.
"To acknowledge the existence of Satan — or whatever you wanna call him/her/it — is to acknowledge the existence of the many bastards of the opposite side," frontman Thomas Jager says of the song. "Face it, all gods suck. Worship the riff, not gods."
