Whoever the fuck is the behind the grisly masks of Swollen Teeth, they have friends in high places. The mysterious band's debut self-titled EP was produced by Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson and is the first release on Blowed Out Records, the new label helmed by producer and "Godfather of Nu-Metal" Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot, Sepultura, etc.), trap-metal star Ghostemane and SideOneDummy founder Bill Armstrong. Oh yeah, and it sounds brutal as all hell. Just blast lead single "SWOLLENTEETH," which dropped today (January 24th), along with an assaultive, shadow-enshrouded music video. Watch and listen above.
Wilson enthused of the band: "After all these years, when I thought I'd never find another group of humans outside of Slipknot that knew the formula to transparency thru frequencies, and not thru appearance, I discovered Swollen Teeth. This is trü-Metal!"
Robinson added, "Sid and I listening to roughs in Iowa, emotions ran high — I found myself getting chills throughout my body to that familiar molten metal pulse I love so much — this time that force is known as "Swollen Teeth" — hunger + talent have that vibration I can't ignore — Bill, Eric [Ghostmane] and I are totally committed to rip it out there for the long haul."
