Canuck metallic hardcore upstarts TEETH just released their debut EP, the wonderfully titled A Biblical Worship of Violence, and with it, their latest single, the also equally well-named "We Eat Our Young." The absurdly vitriolic ripper dropped today (May 4th) accompanied by a retina-searing visualizer video animated by Sam Beck (Spite, Carnifex). Watch and listen above.
Vocalist Blake Louis Prince commented: "'We Eat Our Young' structurally came out all at once — I was pretty heated at that moment in time, feeling a lot of "fuck you" energy — and it just felt like a lot of fire. It's sort of a trance or hyperfocus state for me — then it's over."
Guitarist Chris LeMasters added, "'We Eat Our Young' is a representation of how so many of us battle with ourselves internally. It's the dichotomy of feeling guilt while being frustrated and hostile toward those very feelings."
A Biblical Worship of Violence is out available for streaming on digital platforms now. The vinyl format is due to be shipped on July 21st.
