Hear Thrice's Brooding New Song "Scavengers"

Orange County post-hardcore vets announce new album 'Horizons/East'

Thrice are back. The Orange County post-hardcore vets have announced a new album called Horizons/East, their 11th record total and their first since 2018's Palms. The full thing is due out in September, but they've given us a hint of what's come to in the form of a new song called "Scavengers."

The band self-produced and self-recorded Horizons/East at their New Grass Studio, but handed over mixing duties to engineer Scott Evans (Sleep, Neurosis, Old Man Gloom). According to a press release, the album puts a microscope to the intricacies of relationships, examining how interrelatedness is a constant that's always morphing amid situations both good and bad.

"Scavengers" sets the mood right off of the bat. Following the rockier and less advertently heavy sound that Thrice have been honing for over a decade now, the track is a rich and melodic tune with a gritty bassline, a hypnotic groove, blaring guitars and an explosive chorus. It's an invigorating jam that fans of all Thrice eras can surely appreciate. Check it out above via YouTube.

Horizons/East is due out digitally on September 17th and physically October 8th via Epitaph Records, and pre-orders are live here. See the artwork and track listing below.
