Hear Thursday's Geoff Rickly Rage on Vein.fm's Brutal New Song

Post-hardcore vet says Boston hardcore band "continually give me hope"

We have colored vinyl copies of Vein.fm's new album This World is Going to Ruin You available in our shop — order while they last!

Earlier this month, Boston hardcore bruisers Vein.fm announced their long-awaited sophomore album, This World is Going to Ruin You, and dropped its stupidly heavy lead single "The Killing Womb." The band (FKA Vein) sounded more aggressive and discordant than ever on that track, but the second helping from the record features hot-blooded clean singing from Thursday frontman Geoff Rickly that adds yet another dimension to Vein.fm's busy sound. Blast "Fear in Non Fiction" above.

"Vein.fm continually give me hope," Rickly said of his contribution. "They never stop pushing: pushing the limits of their sound, pushing themselves to the edge of their physical abilities to make noise. On this album, they incorporate avant-garde elements, socially acute lyrics and wild soundscapes, without ever sacrificing the absolute brutality of their early songs. I'm so excited to be a part of this record — a record that will push us all forward."

This World is Going to Ruin You is due out March 4th via Closed Casket Activities/Nuclear Blast and you can pre-order the vinyl on "clear with black smoke and green splatter" wax here
