Los Angeles, California-based hardcore punk band Entry are gearing up to drop their debut, nine-track full-length, Detriment, on July 17th via Southern Lord Recordings. Today, the band — which includes Touché Amoré guitarist Clayton Stevens — have teamed up with Revolver to premiere their ruthless new cut "Selective Empathy." Stream it below and make sure you stick around for the head-smashing breakdown.

As vocalist Sara G explains, the song is about "the struggle many of us have with our parents who once told us to be kind and accepting to everyone, but now support ideas contrary to that. I think this issue has been exacerbated by the widespread use of social media for news and information sharing."

Rounded out by bassist Sean Sakamoto and drummer Chris Dwyer, the quartet is inspired by old-school punk and hardcore trailblazers such as Discharge, Minor Threat, Converge, the Exploited and more. Entry has already played the Olympia Hardcore Festival and Ceremony's Homesick Festival in Los Angeles and opened for Sunn O))), Krimewatch, Despise You, Show Me the Body and many others.

Detriment is available for pre-order now via Bandcamp.
