Hear TRAPPED UNDER ICE's JUSTICE TRIPP roar on new CANDY single | Revolver

Richmond innovators got a hardcore guest spot

CANDY continues to contort the parameters of hardcore with their latest, head-scratchingly heavy single. Titled (perhaps ironically?) "You Will Never Get Me," the ripper features a sick-as-hell guest spot from Trapped Under Ice and Angel Du$t frontman Justice Tripp.

The song is a post-genre fusion of nu-dustrial menace, with thick and meaty guitar riffs slapping against fast-whirled turntabling and cavernous kick-drumming. CANDY vocalist Zac Quiram crushes his performance with furiously distorted howls, which come complimented by Tripp's equally raged-out shouts — the latter naturally dialing more into his mic skills with TUI, rather than the pop-adjacent sing-songing of the Angel Du$t catalog.

You can check out their cacophonous tag-team up above.

As previously reported, CANDY's forthcoming It's Inside You full-length was produced between the band's own Michael Quick and Uniform's Ben Greenberg, and mixed by Converge's Kurt Ballou. In addition to Tripp, the record features guest appearances from Aaron Melnick (Integrity), David Gagliardi (Trash Talk), MIRSY (Fleshwater's Marisa Shriar) and mmph (Sae Heum Han). The album drops June 7th via Relapse Records.

CANDY have also just announced that a record release show will take place at New Jersey's Salty's Beach Bar on July 6th, and whill feature support from Everybody Gets Hurt, Division of Mind, Final Resting Place, Sector, and Last Man Out.
