Hear Turnstile, Trapped Under Ice Supergroup Angel Du$t's Surprise New EP

Baltimore punks stay breezy and fun

Upbeat Baltimore punk rockers Angel Du$t feature members of heavy-hitters Trapped Under Ice and Turnstile, but their own output is anything but heavy these days. Light-hearted and fun-spirited, their 2019 album, Pretty Buff, is almost impossible not to like, even if it's pretty much equally impossible to mosh to. "We never actively called ourselves a hardcore band," singer Justice Tripp told us at the time of its release. "Definitely a band influenced by hardcore, and I appreciate when somebody does and doesn't call us a hardcore band. It definitely means something very special to me, we definitely exist in that world a lot of times. But it's not a hardcore record, it's a rock record that's very influenced by hardcore things and punk things and everything."

The not-hardcore trend continues with the group's surprise new EP, LIL HOUSE, the group's first new music since the aforementioned long player. Produced by Rob Schnapf (Kurt Vile, Elliott Smith), the breezy three-song set is available now on all streaming platforms and highlighted by lead single "Never Ending Game," a laid-back acoustic rocker that arrives paired with a Mason Mercer–directed music video.
