It's been four long years since L.A. industrial duo and Revolver favorites Youth Code dropped their last album, Commitment to Complications. In that time, the group's rabble-rousing vocalist Sara Taylor has appeared on the cover of Revolver's inaugural "Rule Breakers" issue and unleashed her all-star punk-rock project Heavens Blade. But what fans really want, of course, is new Youth Code music, and on that front, we can all rejoice: The wait is over. Today (April 9th), Taylor and her partner in crime Ryan George dropped the hard-hitting new single "Puzzle," which they've been playing live since last year. The song was "written with the mindset of what happens when everything is ruined and defeat is the ever-racing thought that paces the mind," according to the band, and those dark vibes play out across its pummeling three-and-a-half-minute onslaught.

For fans who are feeling creative in quarantine, Youth Code have offered up an additional treat: the stems to the song, via hardcore collective the Armed's collaborative platform ISOLATE/CREATE. "Given the current climate, artistic individuals being forced to take pause whatsoever can be very difficult and harrowing," the duo commented. "Hopefully with continuing creativity and furthering new breath into these tracks, we will have given way to inspiration for all and added just a little more gasoline to our internal burning fires. The song is 125 BPM and produced by us and J Clark. We are extremely excited to hear what this song turns into in the hands of others."
