The HU Announce New Album, Drop Stunning New Song "Black Thunder"

Long-awaited sophomore record 'Rumble of Thunder' due out this fall

The HU have finally announced one of the most anticipated albums of the year — their long-awaited sophomore album, Rumble of Thunder. The follow-up to their 2019 LP, the Gereg, is due out later this fall and it's a 12-track effort that will include their May single "This is Mongol" as well as the new track they've dropped today, "Black Thunder."

Slow-building and cinematic, it's another breathtaking slice of Mongolian folk-metal that has all of the HU's signature sonic tenets — ancient throat singing techniques, traditional string instruments and stadium-sized metal heft. Listen above while you watch its epic music video.

"'Black Thunder' is the crown jewel of our second album," vocalist  Gala said in a press release. "The music video is split into two parts and conveys the core values of men through visuals. Our producer Dashka chose a unique location in Mongolia to shoot the video, where we had a great time riding the horses in the vast grassland of our countryside.

"We hope that our pride in our culture shines through, as we aimed to bring viewers joy and a piece of our culture through this video."

Rumble of Thunder is due out September 2nd via Better Noise Music and is available for pre-order here. You can peep the cover art and track listing below.
