To honor their fallen friend and former bassist Shane Bisnett, Boston metalcore act Ice Nine Kills (under the name Fallbrook) has released a tribute track titled "Sunrise" and a special limited-edition shirt, proceed from which will go to benefit the musician's family. You can stream the song now via Spotify.

Written by Bisnett in 2007 and performed by the band's guitarist Justin diBlieck, the song is an airy but poignant remembrance of their former bandmate. "Twelve years ago, I met one of my best friends," diBlieck remembers. "He was kind, fun, unique, full of happiness, thoughtful and by far the most talented person I've ever met." The two met while attending Finger Lakes Community College and became instant friends, spending "days and nights creating music," according to the guitarist.

Bisnett passed away on New Year's Day at just 31 years old, leaving behind a wife and two young children. He recorded one album with Ice Nine Kills in his two-year tenure with the band, 2010's Safe Is Just a Shadow.
