'JACKASS' star STEVE-O: Why I love IRON MAIDEN's 'Number of the Beast' cover art

"Boy did they look fucking lame in all that spandex!"

Steve-O is one of several lifelong metalheads in the Jackass crew, and he was recently asked by Metal Hammer to talk about a handful of records that changed his life — so naturally, some heavy-ass albums were mentioned.

One of those was Iron Maiden's seminal 1982 opus, Number of the Beast, which Steve-O hailed when he was asked to pick his favorite album cover of all time (great choice).

"I think Iron Maiden has that sewn up," Steve-O said of that album's visual brilliance. "It's hard to think of another band like them when it comes to cool album covers, which is funny because their sense for aesthetics was really limited to their album covers — boy did they look fucking lame in all that spandex! Haha!

"But I can't hold that against them because I love Iron Maiden and the Number of the Beast cover art is incredible."
