Following an incident we reported yesterday in which Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford kicked a phone from the hands of one overly aggressive fan during a recent Rosemont, Illinois show, the British singer has issued a statement addressing the event and doubling down on his metal-as-fuck attitude to folks who don't know when to put the camera away.

"The facts are we love our fans and you can film us all you like and watch our show on your phone rather than in the flesh," the singer told Loudwire in a statement, which the band posted to social media channels early this morning, May 31st, "however if you physically interfere with the Metal God's performance you now know what will happen ..."

The stunning move came during a performance of "Judas Rising" and Papa Halford never missed a beat. Fans seem to show unanimous support for the singer's daring move and have even begun to commemorate the event in memes. Scroll down to see some of their artistic interpretations, done with equal parts humor and reverence for the ultimate leather daddy's take-no-shit attitude.
