On Thursday, May 16th, U.K. industrial-rock pioneers Killing Joke — you know, that band that Metallica covered, Nirvana ripped off and Nine Inch Nails remixed — took their 40th anniversary tour to NYC metal mecca Saint Vitus, treating a 250-capacity room packed with diehards to a riveting set (check out video of the full performance above). Frontman Jaz Coleman was on fire as always, cavorting with spirits and channeling demons. Photographer Nathaniel Shannon was there to catch all the action — see some of his standout shots below.
