On Wednesday, August 28th, Slipknot's inaugural Knotfest Roadshow tour hit New York's Jones Beach, leaving in its wake many ringing ears and whip-lashed necks. A veritable United Nations of heavy music opened the show: Great "Elvis metal" Danes Volbeat, French environ-metal crew Gojira and Polish Satanists Behemoth did the honors, and did so with plenty of fire and ferocity. Still, the night belonged to the Nine, of course, who broke out their white outfits for the occasion, tearing through a stacked, career-spanning 17-song set. Photographer Kevin Wilson was there to catch all the keg-banging action — check out some of his standout shots below.
