Yesterday (October 10th) marked the 14-year wedding anniversary of Korn frontman singer Jonathan Davis and his late wife Deven, who passed away in August. Late last night, Davis posted a photo of Deven to Instagram along with the message "Happy anniversary baby. I miss you more everyday," followed by a broken heart emoji.
Also yesterday, TMZ reported that, according to legal documents that had acquired, Deven's cause of death has been confirmed as an accidental overdose. An autopsy reportedly revealed that she had a combination of cocaine, heroin, fluoxetine (an antidepressant), topirimate (nerve pain medication) and clonezepam (used to treat anxiety) in her system.
"Over the past decade, my wife has been very, very sick. She had a very serious mental illness and her addiction was a side effect. I loved her with ALL of my being. When she was her true self, she was an amazing wife, amazing mother and amazing friend," Davis wrote in an emotional Instagram post following her death. "Deven had a huge heart, and she would never intentionally hurt her children or anyone that she loved. She was an incredibly nurturing, giving, loving and hilarious person. She was full of life and joy, and would do anything to share that with those around her."
