Tackling topical issues and confronting human nature's darker side is not new for Lamb of God. But the Virginian metal juggernaut's forthcoming self-titled album does mark some major firsts for the group: their first release without founding drummer Chris Adler and their first with his full-time replacement, Art Cruz. To kick off this new era, Randy Blythe and Co. have offered up their most incisive and wide-screen political statement to date, and in our cover story, the outspoken Lamb of God vocalist opens up about the hot-button issues and deeply resonant personal experiences that inform the band's self-titled LP.

The new Spring 2020 issue also comes with alternate collectible covers featuring Pantera, Body Count, August Burns Red and Code Orange (available now via our store), as well as stories on Kvelertak, Loathe, Dana Dentata, Umbra Vitae, Machine Girl, Irist and Mexican black metal.
