Lamb of God are set to kick off an anticipated run of North American tour dates with Slayer in Gilford, New Hampshire, tonight (July 26th). Today, with just hours left before the doors open, the band have announced that drummer Chris Adler will be sitting out the entire tour due to "unforeseen circumstances." Prong and Winds of Plague drummer Art Cruz has been tapped to man the kit in his stead, per Adler's request.

The second leg of Slayer's farewell tour — also featuring Anthrax, Testament, and Napalm Death — is set to run through August 26th: 20 shows in total. Fortunately, the band is confident that he'll be back in the saddle imminently, writing: "We expect to see Chris returning in the very near future. We will see you all on the road soon."
