Lamb of God's "Omens": Read Lyrics to Nihilistic New Song

Lamb of God just released the ferocious, grooving title track off their highly anticipated album, Omens, and it's a monster. Featuring gang vocals from members of Body Count, Cold Cave, H20 and Youth Code, it echoes the same apocalyptic hopelessness heard in Slipknot's recent single "The Dying Song (Time to Sing," addressing humanity's tendency to ignore the clear "omens" and repeat history's dark cycle.

"I think a lot of the messes human beings find ourselves in could be very easily prevented simply by paying attention to obvious repeating patterns, both in our personal lives and in a broader sociohistorical context," vocalist D. Randall Blythe commented. "What some call 'omens' are really just manifestations of the fact that there is nothing new under the sun. It's foolish to ignore this, but we all do it."
