Late last month, drummer Sal Abruscato announced his amicable split from Life of Agony, closing the book on the Type O Negative co-founder's 25-year tenure with the alternative-metal icons. Today, January 22nd, Life of Agony vocalist Mina Caputo took to social media to announce Abruscato's replacement: Veronica Bellino, an up-and-coming percussionist who's written and recorded with the likes of Jeff Beck, DMC, Richie Sambora, LL Cool J and others.
Life of Agony's first confirmed show with Bellino will be held at Worcester, Massachusett's Palladium as part of the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, on April 21st. No word as yet on any studio time with the group, which released its latest album, A Place Where There's No More Pain, last April.
"I can't even express how excited I am to play with these wonderful humans," Bellino wrote in an Instagram post confirming her enlistment. "It has already been an amazing year, and I can't wait to see what the future brings."
