Make Them Suffer Unveil New Singer-Keyboardist in "Doomswitch" Video

Meet Alex Reade

Earlier this year, Australian metalcore unit Make Them Suffer split with clean vocalist and keyboardist Booka Nile. Today (October 13th), they revealed her replacement, Alex Reade, and unleashed their first song with her, "Doomswitch," along with a glitchy, neon-zapped live music video. The single is a propulsive blast of djenty metalcore, with Reade's melodic vocals providing the only respite. Watch and listen above.

"Doomswitch' is a term coined by online poker players used to describe a hypothesized mechanism by which an online poker site will continually infer bad luck onto a player," the band explained of the song in a joint statement. "Sean related to this term and, at the time, it felt as if a 'Doomswitch' had flicked on his life, so we used the concept as the main inspiration for the song. We've adopted a new element into our sound along with the inclusion of a new member: Alex. This song marks a new chapter and the next step forward for the band and the sonic shift in 'Doomswitch' really drives that home."

In November, Make Them Suffer are set to come stateside, touring with Bad Omens and Dayseeker.
