A little less than a month ago, Revolver declared the Marilyn Manson and Justin Bieber beef – that head-scratching feud which started with Bieber allegedly telling the shock rocker "I made you relevant again," in reference to his line of expensive (and originally unsanctioned) Manson tees; escalated with Manson calling Bieber a "real piece of shit" in response in a widely-shared interview; and dissolved following a text-message heart-to-heart in September – "doneszo." It is with great regret, and slight bemusement, that we must retract our previous reporting: as of today, October 16th, the beef is not only not "doneszo:" it's basically back on.

Over the weekend, Manson, who is currently at home recuperating after being crushed by a falling prop last month, called into Cindy Scull's "Scully Morning Show" on Dallas/Fort Worth's 97.1 The Eagle to discuss his renewed friendship with former rival Trent Reznor, as well as Mr. Bieber, whom he compared to a girl and a squirrel. Grab the popcorn!

"Well, [Bieber's] in some sort of sexual religious cult with an Asian version of Dave Navarro, apparently," Manson said of the pop star. "The guy doesn't wear a shirt – but no, I don't like to fight with girls, so I don't want to fight with Justin Bieber." Asked to speculate on Bieber's thought process with regards to the misguided merch line, he quipped, "I don't know, because I don't have the mind of a squirrel." The shock rocker elaborated on this statement by way of a serpentine metaphor:

"It is representing rock and roll though, I appreciate the fact that you identify with the integrity that I try to represent with rock music – because if I don't do it, who else is going to? If you want to fuck with that, if you tap the cobra, you're going to get the fangs. If you kiss the cobra, you get the venom. I'm not really sure what that metaphor means, but you can just absorb that and put it into your own brain."
