Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine is embroiled in a tabloid scandal involving leaked sexual messages that he allegedly sent to numerous women, including one who claims she and Levine — who is married and has several children, with one on the way — carried on an affair for over a year. Typical celebrity bullshit, right? Well, in this case, metal music is surprisingly involved.

Alyson Rosef, who goes by Alyson Rose — one of the women who posted a TikTok video of screenshots of her and Levine's DMs — happens to be a metalhead, and in her exchange with the pop-rock superstar, she made a quip to him about her love of heavy music. In response, Levine joked that "no hot chicks" listen to heavy metal.

In a screenshot of the reported interaction, Rose expresses her surprise that Levine — who's married to a Victoria's Secret model — is interested in her. "I'm so weird too and only listen to metal lol," she messages Levine. "Said no hot chicks ever other than you," the Maroon 5 singer responds.

Get it? The joke is that metal is for ugly losers, so how could a woman as beautiful as you listen to that crap? It's so trite it's not even offensive to us heshers; it's just cringy on Levine's part. See a screenshot of the full (alleged) exchange below.
