Masked Rebels, Robot Warriors: See Serj Tankian's New Video "How Many Times?"

Directed by 'Lord of the Rings' and 'X-Men' visual effects artist Roger Kupelian

For Serj Tankian diehards, Revolver has a limited-edition Spring Issue collector's bundle featuring a numbered slipcase, alternate cover and the activist-musician's new EP, Elasticity, in exclusive white vinylGet yours before they're gone!

Back in March, Serj Tankian released a new batch of solo songs that he titled the Elasticity EP. Although the release was on the shorter side, the System of a Down frontman has been putting a ton of effort into fleshing out the project by releasing enticing visuals for all five songs, which he's rounded out today with a music video for "How Many Times?"

The video was made in collaboration with director Roger Kupelian (The Lord of the Rings, X-Men), who previously worked with Tankian on the visuals for "Honking Antelope" and "Reconstructive Demonstrations" from Elect the Dead and Imperfect Harmonies, respectively. This one is pretty overstimulating, as it follows a group of rebel-like beings who are attempting to survive in a post-apocalyptic hellscape that's ruled by all sorts of terrifying creatures.

Like many Tankian projects, the video is a commentary on the infuriating nihilism of war, violence and corruption, and there's a whole lot to unpack throughout the stacked four-and-a-half-minute storyline. Check it out above via YouTube.

Elasticity is out now, and you can pick up one of our exclusive vinyl bundles of the record over at our shop
